Meet the Maker

Hey! I’m Bella — the owner and maker behind Intracoastal Equine, based in Wilmington, North Carolina. I’m 23 years old and own a small horse boarding farm that’s home to my two horses, Star and Zues, as well as 11 wonderful boarded horses residing on our farm. Horses have always been at the center of my life, and when I’m not in the barn or out on a ride (usually Western, though I enjoy English too), you can find me in my workshop surrounded by leather, tools, and a lot of creativity. I graduated high school in 2020, then went on to earn my Equine Training degree from Martin Community College. I started leather working in 2022, and what began as a small side project quickly became my full-time job. I fell in love with the process of designing and handcrafting pieces that are both beautiful and built to last. Belts are my favorite to make, there’s something special about creating a piece that’s uniquely personal and made to be worn every day.
My Australian Shepherd puppy, Honey, is my constant sidekick in the shop. She takes her role as “quality control supervisor” very seriously and keeps me company through every project.
